Anthonys Deep Fried Shrimp
While hanging out with Anthony of Corner Pub and Island City Pizza (Part owner with his hubby Shannon) he came up with a great way to kick the shrimp out of your oven onto your plate for a great meal.
Ingredients
-
1 cup Hectors Nectar w/Sundried Tomatoe Dip
-
4 teaspoons lemon juice
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
2 tablespoons cooking oil
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 1/4 teaspoons fresh-ground black pepper
-
1/4 pound unsalted butter
-
2 pounds large shrimp, shelled but tails left on
Directions
-
Heat up your fryer to 425°.
-
In a small bowl, combine the sun-dried tomatoes Nectar mixture
-
Add about 1/2 cup standard breading mix, add the butter, salt, cooking oil
-
In a medium fryer, heat the oil tilll ready.
-
Take the shrimp and lightly coat with the mixture made earilier
-
Place coated shrimp in fryer basket.
-
Drop in oil, and fry till golden brown.
-
Pull out and lay on papertowled plate to cool.
-
Take the excess Hectors Nectar w/Tomatoe and serve on side for addition flavor
Hectors Nectar Hamburgers w/a kick:
Ingredients
-
1 lb Ground beef
-
1 large onions
-
Salt
-
Pepper
-
Hector's Nectar®
-
Bacon
-
Blue Cheese
-
2 eggs
-
1/4 cup of Italian Bread Crumbs
Directions:
-
Mix the ground beef with the salt, pepper, a table spoon of Hector's Nectar®, 2 eggs, and 1/4 cup of bread crumbs. Get your hands in there and mix thoroughly.

Make the patties and set on plate. (about 1/2 inch thick)
-
Cook the patties in a frying pan, 15 min each side should do it.

Using same frying pan, saute your onions till just about to go tender.
-
Remove from pan.
-
Make your bacon, do a little salsa dance while waiting.
-
Don't get carried away or you will burn your bacon.
-
Drain pan, and take your hamburger buns and lightly toast in the skillet.

On your plate put down the bottom bun (because if you use the top bun, than your hamburger will be upside down)

Then your patties, top with your onions, crumbled Blue Cheese, place the bacon on it, drizzle with Hector's Nectar, put the top bun on and marvel at the best burger you have ever heard.

Vince loves coming up with new drinks,
and we get to taste them, so who better to ask to help us with a cocktail using Hector's Nectar® but Vince from Scandals Saloon.

2 1/2 oz. Vodka A dash of Dry Vermouth
-
3-4 drops of Hector's Nectar.
-
Shaken, not stirred of course.
-
Garnish with a jalapeno stuffed olive.
-
OH MY.....this was kick A$$

Chix Drumstix
-
Marinade for 24hours with frenchdressing and

-
Hectors Nectar in a zip lock baggy.
-
(2 to 1 mix) with Lemon and white wine.
-
Grill till done, serve with Dirty Rice, Baked Potato..

For your potato mix
-
1 tablespoon of our sauce folded into sour cream, Chopped chives and spoon on potato.
-
Nice chilled glass of wine, and you are set.

A Pizza Like No Other
Chix Alfredo el Nectar Pizza
Introducing this weeks Recipe that just goes to show
how multi purpose this stuff really is. It's simple AMAZING

-
Take 2 or 3 tables spoons of Hectors Nectar and mix it in pizza dough
-
Top with Alfredo Sauce
-
Add Chix chunks
-
Add Bacon Tid Bits
-
Some veggies
-
Shredded cheeses
-
Light drizzling of Hectors Nectar®
Baked it for 40 minutes.....now that was a pizza.
The puffy crust perfect, you could see the green flakes of the sauce through out.
